An Outstanding school is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join their successful Learning Support department.

The school, based in the Crewe/Congleton area, focuses on building a community centred around the promotion of respect, courtesy and consideration for each and every pupil. With an extensive curriculum and a plethora of extra-curricular activities on offer designed to actively involve pupils in the learning process, this school is determined to develop each pupil’s potential to the fullest it can be. As a Learning Support Assistant, your work will be pivotal to the school achieving this vision.

Your role will involve working with small groups of up to 6 pupils both inside the classroom and also within the school’s on-site Learning Support Provision Unit, focussing on overcoming particular barriers to learning and ensuring all pupils can excel in their mainstream education. In addition to this, you will support the department by running one to one sessions with target pupils, concentrating on helping them engage with subject material and progress in accordance with their target grades.

  • Teaching Assistance experience or experience working with children in a relevant capacity (e.g. youth worker, tutor etc.)
  • Successful track record of improving pupils performance desirable
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police check

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
