Science Graduate Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are pleased to offer the role of a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant at one of our client schools in the Stockport area of Manchester. The school is an 11-16 mixed secondary, the role is set to start in May 2023 and will last for the rest of the academic year. Our client could opt to make the role permanent, depending on performance.

Our client is looking for someone to inspire and spark their students’ interest in science. Our client’s leaders are always striving to improve their pupils’ education. The school’s last Ofsted report highlights the behaviour of our client’s pupils, commenting positively on their attitude towards learning and how they wear their uniforms with pride.

Some skills our client is looking for:

• Communication. The successful candidate will need to give detailed feedback to students and their parents/guardians.
• Confidence. You must be confident working with pupils with SEN requirements and additional learning needs. These could be Dyslexia, ADHD or Autism to name a few examples.
• Observation. You will need to identify which students would benefit from receiving more support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
