Position: Learning Support Assistant

Are you passionate about education and looking to make a difference in the lives of young people? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Tameside starting in September 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.
• Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to student support and learning activities.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable.
• A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude towards students of all abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development is an advantage.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Ability to adapt and respond to the varying needs of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
