Learning Support Assistant
Job description
We are looking for dedicated, compassionate, and resilient Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our growing team as we shape the future of SEND education in Wiltshire.
The school is a newly established, purpose-built special school in Salisbury, dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people aged 4–19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Support students with EHCPs in a structured, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.

Work alongside teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning and emotional support.

Foster independence, confidence, and positive behaviour through 1:1 and small-group interventions.

Be a consistent, caring presence – helping young people feel safe, understood, and empowered.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who:

Has a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
-
Is calm, patient, and emotionally intelligent.
-
Understands or is willing to learn about ASC, SEMH, and trauma-informed approaches.

Has experience in a setting that supports children or young adults with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
