Experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Reading | £14.25+ per hour | Flexible Opportunities Available

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking experienced and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across a range of welcoming primary and secondary schools in Reading and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous classroom, SEN, or childcare experience who are looking for flexible work, long-term placements, or the chance to develop their career within education.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in helping pupils access learning and reach their individual goals. You may work on a one-to-one basis, within small groups, or support whole-class learning.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities
- Assisting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs
- Helping to create an engaging, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence
- Working closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver learning outcomes
- Providing emotional and pastoral support when required
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, or in a similar child-focused role
- Experience supporting children with additional needs is highly desirable
- A patient, proactive, and caring approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for education and helping young people succeed
- Ability to adapt to different school environments

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
