Learning Support Assistant – Temp to Perm
Location: Preston | SEN School | Primary & Secondary
Contract: Full-Time | Temp to Perm

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive SEN school in Preston, working across both primary and secondary phases.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a variety of SEN needs.

  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging and differentiated learning activities.

  • Encourage independence, confidence, and active participation in lessons.

  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development with a nurturing approach.

  • Contribute to creating a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people in education, SEN, or care settings.

  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for helping pupils thrive.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
