Teaching Personnel are looking for caring, resilient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist SEN primary school in the Portsmouth area.

The school supports children with complex Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a safe, supportive and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to learn, develop and reach their potential.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and experienced support staff to provide tailored support to pupils both 1:1 and in small groups. You will help children engage with their learning, develop confidence and independence, manage emotional and behavioural challenges, and build positive relationships.

This is a rewarding role where every day is different, and your patience, consistency and positive approach can have a genuine impact on a child's education and development.

Previous experience within SEN, SEMH, education, care, youth work or support work is highly desirable. However, candidates with transferable experience and the right attitude are also encouraged to apply.
