This unique education provision supports young people aged 14 to 18 with a range of complex SEN needs, including cognitive, physical and communication differences.
Set in a stunning countryside environment, the setting focuses on building confidence, independence and real-life skills, offering learning opportunities through both classroom-based and outdoor experiences.
Learners engage in meaningful activities such as animal care, catering, horticulture and community-based projects, all designed to help them grow, explore their interests and prepare for adulthood.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis from Monday to Friday. You will play a vital role in supporting personalised learning programmes, helping students build practical skills, develop independence and maintain emotional wellbeing.

Support tutors with lesson preparation and personalised learning resources

Provide 1:1 and small-group assistance to help learners work towards their goals

Use a range of communication methods, such as Makaton, to support understanding

Assist in outdoor and enterprise-based learning activities

Promote emotional wellbeing and independence alongside pastoral and curriculum staff

Record progress accurately using digital systems and contribute to evidence gathering

Help maintain a safe, motivating and inclusive learning environment

Participate in training, meetings and quality assurance processes
Essential Experience
-
At least 6 months childcare experience, ideally with SEN learners

A compassionate, patient and proactive approach

Confidence supporting young people with varied and complex needs

A willingness to learn new communication and support strategies

This role requires an enhanced DBS check and full safeguarding clearance. Applicants must be committed to the safety and welfare of vulnerable young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
