Teaching Personnel is recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join one of our specialist education partner schools in the Nuneaton (CV11) area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils with a variety of SEND needs, including:
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
- Autism (ASD)
- Learning Difficulties (LD)
You will help to deliver targeted interventions, support pupils in the classroom, and contribute to creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 or small‑group support to pupils with additional needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging learning activities.
- Adapt resources to meet pupils’ individual needs.
- Help implement EHCP strategies and personalised support plans.
- Use sensory or communication tools where needed to aid learning.
- Support behaviour management using positive, proactive approaches.
- Promote a calm and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist pupils during transitions, break times, and any off‑site activities.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about supporting children with SEND.
- Patient, calm, and resilient with a warm and supportive approach.
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Eager to learn, develop and take on new challenges.
Requirements
- Experience supporting children or young people (school‑based experience desirable).
- Willingness to complete a DBS check (or provide an updated version).
- Two professional references.
- Proof of right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
