Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Specialist Education Settings - Sites across Hampshire

£14.75 per hour

Looking for a rewarding full-time role where you can make a genuine difference to young people who need support the most?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for full-time Learning Support Assistants across a group of specialist education settings with sites located in:

  • Fawley
  • Dibden
  • Totton
  • Ower

The school supports children and young people aged 7–16 with a range of severe and complex needs arising from:

  • Life trauma
  • Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
  • Attachment disorder
  • Phobias linked to education

These settings provide a highly supportive and nurturing environment, with small class sizes of no more than 4 students per class. Every class is supported by a Teacher alongside either an LSA or pastoral support staff at all times, allowing staff to build meaningful relationships and provide consistent support to each student.

The Role:

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday
  • Working hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm
  • Supporting students both academically and emotionally
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Helping students regulate emotions, engage with learning and develop confidence
  • Working as part of a close-knit and supportive team

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous SEN, SEMH or behaviour support experience is highly desirable
  • Experience in education, care, youth work or support settings welcomed
  • Calm, resilient and patient individuals
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
  • Full-time availability

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
