Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Primary School | Lordshill

Location: Lordshill
Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour

Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Lordshill on a long-term basis.

This rewarding role involves providing classroom support and 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning and reach their full potential.

The Role

  • Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities.
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with SEN.
  • Help create an engaging, inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Encourage the pupil's academic, social and emotional development.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and the school's SEN team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting is desirable.
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN is an advantage.
  • Patient, compassionate and able to build positive relationships.
  • Reliable, proactive, and committed to supporting young learners.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
