Learning Support Assistant (SEN) – Primary | Liverpool

A specialist SEN primary school in the Liverpool area is seeking a caring and proactive Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. The school is committed to providing high‑quality education and individualised support to children with a range of additional needs, ensuring every pupil is encouraged and empowered to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support small groups of children who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Deliver tailored assistance to meet each child’s individual needs, abilities, and learning styles.
- Help to develop and implement personalised learning plans in collaboration with teaching staff.
- Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels safe and valued.
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to continually enhance your practice.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children, especially those with SEN or EHCPs, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by pupils with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trusting, supportive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
- Patience, empathy, and a resilient, positive attitude.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or child development are preferred but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
