Key Responsibilities

• Support small groups of children who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Deliver tailored assistance to meet each child’s individual needs, abilities, and learning styles.
• Help to develop and implement personalised learning plans in collaboration with teaching staff.
• Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels safe and valued.
• Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development to continually enhance your practice.

Essential Requirements

• Experience working with children, especially those with SEN or EHCPs, is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of the challenges faced by pupils with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trusting, supportive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
• Patience, empathy, and a resilient, positive attitude.
• Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or child development are preferred but not essential.
