Teaching Personnel is recruiting Learning Support Assistants for secondary schools across Durham, with positions available immediately. These are long-term placements within inclusive, well-supported school environments where support staff are valued and the work you do has a visible impact on student outcomes.

Working across KS3 and KS4, you'll be supporting students with a range of additional needs — building the kind of consistent, trusted relationships that make a genuine difference over time.

What the role involves:

• Supporting students with additional needs across KS3 and KS4
• Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
• Assisting teachers with classroom management and differentiated delivery
• Helping students develop independence and confidence in their learning
• Liaising with the SENCO and wider support team as required

What we're looking for:

• Experience supporting students in a secondary school setting
• A solid understanding of SEND and how it presents in the classroom
• Patient, reliable, and confident building relationships with complex learners
• Level 3 qualification desirable but not essential with relevant experience
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
