Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities
Location: Poole & Christchurch
Start Date: September 2026
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools in Poole and Christchurch. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, starting in September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development, particularly those who thrive in inclusive educational environments.
The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils in the classroom, providing both one-to-one and small group assistance. You will play a key role in helping children—particularly those with additional needs—access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils, including those with SEN
- Deliver small group interventions to support learning and progress
- Assist in the delivery of engaging and accessible lessons
- Support children with additional needs, helping them to remain engaged and included
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
About You:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
- A patient, adaptable, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young learners
- A willingness to support pupils with additional needs, including SEN

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
