We are seeking a committed and compassionate SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the Kinson area of Bournemouth. This is a rewarding full-time opportunity to make a lasting impact on a child’s educational journey.
The Role
You will be working closely on a 1:1 basis with a child who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), providing tailored support to help them access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the child’s academic, social, and emotional development
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo
- Implementing strategies outlined in the EHCP
- Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Encouraging independence and positive behaviour
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for making a difference in a child’s life
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE, TA qualification) are a bonus but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
