Learning Support Assistant

Full-Time | Term-Time Only | September Start Available

Are you interested in a career in education, psychology, mental health, speech and language therapy, social work or teaching?

We are recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work within primary and specialist SEN schools across Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, support workers, sports coaches, youth workers and anyone passionate about making a difference to children's lives.

No classroom experience is required. Schools are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals who can build positive relationships and support pupils to achieve their potential.

 

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support
  • Help pupils engage with learning and classroom activities
  • Support children with additional needs including Autism, ADHD and SEMH
  • Encourage confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support pupil progress
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
