Teaching Personnel is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work within specialist schools supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour.
These are incredibly rewarding roles for resilient individuals who enjoy building relationships and helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
You'll be helping pupils develop confidence, emotional regulation and trust—often becoming one of the most consistent adults in their school life.
Your day could involve:
- Working 1:1 with pupils requiring additional support
- Managing behaviour through positive relationships
- Supporting emotional wellbeing
- Encouraging engagement with learning
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams
We're particularly interested in hearing from people with backgrounds in:
- Youth work
- Coaching or sports
- Residential care
- Mental health support
- Education
- Security or the Armed Forces
- Support work
Teaching Personnel offers:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
