We are currently working with a SEN school to source a Learning Mentor to work children in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

The school are looking for a passionate and creative Learning Mentor who has experience working with those with Moderate Learning Difficulties such as Autism, ADHD and other learning difficulties. This role will require patience, resilience and proactive nature to support these pupils

The successful Learning Mentor will:

  • Provide in class support to keep pupils on task
  • Support movement around the school during breaks and lessons transitions
  • Provide a positive role model for pupils
  • Support incidents of challenging behaviour through providing support or a safe space to return to clam

The Salford school has a wonderful atmosphere with a supportive team behind it. For candidates who apply for this role they need to be ideally team teach trained or will be willing to complete the course. The school has a diverse range of pupils from all backgrounds.

This Learning Mentor role would be well suited those with experience of working with additional needs from either a school, care or personal environment. The role would also be well suited to graduates with a relevant degree such as Psychology, Health and Social or Nursing.

The application process requires two recent and care/education-based references or evidence of other experience.

You additionally will either have a DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to get one.
