Languages Teacher – Dorset
Full-Time | Start ASAP
A well-regarded secondary school in Dorset is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Languages Teacher to join their team as soon as possible on a full-time basis.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality Spanish and French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop strong linguistic abilities, cultural understanding, and confidence in both spoken and written communication.
Key responsibilities include:

Planning and teaching engaging French and Spanish lessons for pupils in Years 7–11

Adapting teaching approaches to meet the needs of learners of all abilities

Building positive relationships with students through effective communication and high expectations

Contributing to enrichment activities that support and enhance the languages curriculum

Maintaining a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
The ideal candidate will have:

A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, or equivalent)

Experience teaching Spanish and French at secondary level
-
A flexible and proactive approach to classroom practice

Strong organisational and interpersonal skills

A genuine enthusiasm for language learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
