Location: Monmouthshire, South Wales
Pay Rate: £110-£120 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Academic Year
⭐ About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable KS3/KS4 Classroom Manager to work in one of our welcoming Secondary School’s within the Monmouthshire area.
In this role, you will supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring pupils stay on task and remain engaged with the work provided. Having subject expertise is an advantage, as it enables you to cover topics you are genuinely passionate about. What matters most is confidence, adaptability, and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
You must be able to discuss relevant qualifications and demonstrate transferable skills during interview, and you will be required to complete thorough vetting checks.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, trainee teachers, individuals with experience in management, those looking to develop behaviour management skills, or anyone considering a career in education to gain valuable classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Supporting pupils with their learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment
- Applying behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
- Providing feedback to teaching staff at the end of the day
✅ Requirements
- Experience working with young people (education, youth work, coaching, etc.) or experience managing/leading groups
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- EWC Registration (or willingness to obtain one)
- Must be aged 18 or over
- Strong understanding of the school curriculum and core subjects
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
