£130 – £230 per day (depending on experience and MScale )

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a friendly and well-regarded primary school in the Truro area seeking a Year 5 Teacher to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term role with the potential to become permanent, offering the chance to truly become part of a supportive school community.

About the Role

You will be taking on a Year 5 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that support pupils through a key stage in their learning journey.

This role would suit:

• An experienced KS2 teacher
• An ECT looking to secure their first long-term placement
• A teacher looking for a fresh start in a supportive environment

What You’ll Be Doing

• Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons aligned to the KS2 curriculum
• Preparing pupils for upper KS2 and early SATs expectations
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Supporting pupils of all abilities, including those with SEN needs
• Monitoring progress and providing feedback to support achievement
• Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and leadership

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching KS2 (ideally Year 5 or Upper KS2)
• Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
• Ability to deliver creative, engaging and structured lessons
• A proactive, positive and adaptable teaching style
• Commitment to pupil progress and wellbeing
