Exciting Opportunity for a KS2 Teaching Assistant

Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant
Locations: Sheffield and Barnsley, South Yorkshire

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of our team, helping to provide tailored support to students and assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Job Description:
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Working with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
- Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and other key subjects to help students build strong foundations.
- Encouraging the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and social skills.
- Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they can access the curriculum effectively.
- Helping with classroom organization, preparation of resources, and displays.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
- Experience working with KS2 students is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
