Teaching Personnel are working closely with a warm, supportive primary school in Thornton (FY5) who are seeking a dedicated KS2 Class Teacher to join their team on a full‑time maternity cover starting September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to join a school with a strong leadership team, well‑behaved pupils, and a commitment to high‑quality teaching and learning. The school welcomes both experienced teachers and newly qualified ECTs, offering a supportive environment to help them thrive.

Role Overview

• Full class teacher responsibility within KS2
• Planning, teaching and assessing engaging, creative lessons
• Working closely with the existing team to ensure smooth continuity during maternity leave
• Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Contributing to the wider life of the school and year group

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Have a genuine passion for KS2 teaching
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and high expectations
• Bring creativity, enthusiasm and commitment to pupils’ learning
• Be reflective, professional and a strong communicator

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
