Year 5 Teacher – Doncaster

Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Full-time & Part-time roles available
Pay: £120 – £200 per day (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of supportive and welcoming primary schools across Doncaster to recruit enthusiastic and committed Year 5 Teachers for roles beginning in January 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who are passionate about upper Key Stage 2 and preparing pupils for the academic and personal challenges of Year 6.

The Role:

  • Teaching a Year 5 class within Key Stage 2

  • Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Supporting pupils’ academic progress and personal development

  • Using assessment effectively to inform planning and differentiation

  • Maintaining a positive, well-managed classroom environment

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

  • Has experience teaching in Upper KS2, ideally Year 5 (ECTs welcome to apply)

  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and organisational skills

  • Has a secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks

  • Is committed, adaptable, and enthusiastic about supporting pupil achievement
