1:1 Teaching Assistant (KS2 – Behaviour & SEN Support)

We are seeking a dedicated, resilient and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Key Stage 2 with behavioural and additional learning needs.

This role is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, consistently positive, and flexible in their approach, with a genuine commitment to helping children thrive both academically and emotionally.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with behaviour and SEN needs

• Supporting emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour

• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo and wider support team

• Adapting support strategies to meet the pupil’s changing needs

• Helping to create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has a calm, patient and nurturing nature

• Remains positive and consistent, even in challenging situations

• Is flexible, adaptable and solution-focused

• Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils

• Has experience supporting children with behavioural needs and/or SEN (desirable but not essential)

• Understands the importance of boundaries, routines and emotional support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
