Position: KS2 Primary Teacher

Location: Stockport, SK4

Contract: Temporary, Full time

Salary: £143 – 237 per day

 

Teaching personnel are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS2 Teacher prepared to take the lead of a class on a short-, medium-, or long-term basis. They will need a child‑centred approach where every learner is valued as an individual, curiosity is celebrated, and a genuine love of learning sits at the heart of everything they do.

In this role, you’ll bring learning to life through creative and inspiring teaching, using a range of engaging stimuli to spark interest, deepen understanding, and help pupils build strong academic and personal foundations for the future.

KS2 Primary Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons aligned with the KS2 National Curriculum (Years 3–6).
  • Teach core subjects including English, Maths and Science, supporting pupils to develop strong literacy, numeracy and scientific understanding.
  • Use assessment and progress data effectively to monitor attainment and support pupils in preparation for KS2 statutory assessments.
  • Adapt and differentiate teaching to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including SEND, EAL and SEMH pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, including Teaching Assistants, SENCO and Senior Leadership, to support pupil progress.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers, communicating clearly about progress, achievement and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports and assessment data in line with school policies.
  • Contribute positively to wider school life, including staff meetings, initiatives and extracurricular activities.

 

KS2 Primary Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of assessment frameworks, including Year 4 MTC and Year 6 SATs.
  • Knowledge of effective teaching strategies to support pupil progress.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, child protection and inclusive practice.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
