Position: KS2 Primary Teacher

Location: Stockport, SK12

Contract Type: Temporary, Full Time

Pay Rate: £140 – 160 per day

Start Date: 20/04/2026

One of our partner schools are looking for a strong, enthusiastic KS2 Primary Teacher to lead a class until the end of the year. This school has a child centred approach to teaching and learning; prioritising individual needs and developing children to have a real love of learning and building strong foundations for their futures. In this position you would use a variety of stimuli to motivate the children’s interests and capture their curiosity to further develop their knowledge and skills.

This position is suitable for all teachers. Whether you are an ECT looking for a first position or an experienced educator interested in full time work until the end of the academic year, this is the role for you.

KS2 Primary Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum (Years 3–6).
  • Teach core subjects English, Maths and Science. Help children understand key principles and develop reading, writing and mathematical skills.
  • Using assessment data to track progress and prepare pupils for KS2 statutory assessments.
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of individual pupils (SEND, EAL, SEMH).
  • Collaborate with colleagues such as SENCO, teaching assistants and SLT.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers about progress and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and assessment data.
  • Contribute to school initiatives, staff meetings, and extracurricular activities.

KS2 Primary Teacher Requirements:

  • Hold a degree with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Clear understanding of assessment frameworks, including statutory assessments (Year 4 MTC, Year 6 SATs).
  • Knowledge of effective teaching strategies to support pupil progress.
  • Understand and uphold safeguarding, child protection, and inclusion.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where pupils are comfortable and engaged in their education.
  • Professional attitude and commitment to Teachers’ Standards.
