A friendly, community-focused primary school in Templecombe is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled KS2 Teacher to join their team from January. The Role:
As the class teacher for a KS2 cohort, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and engaging curriculum that supports children’s academic, personal, and social development. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Creating a structured, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Maintaining strong behaviour management, ensuring consistency and routines
- Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupil progress
- Working closely with teaching assistants, specialist staff, and senior leaders
- Communicating effectively with parents and carers
- Contributing to the wider life of the school, including events, meetings, and extracurricular activities
What We’re Looking For:
The school is seeking a teacher who brings reliability, consistency, and confidence to the classroom. The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous KS2 teaching experience (Essential)
- Strong behaviour management and the ability to maintain clear expectations
- A nurturing approach that builds strong relationships with pupils
- A reflective, professional attitude and commitment to ongoing development
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
Vetting Requirements:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
