Key Stage 2 Teacher – September Start
Location: Amesbury, Wiltshire
Salary: M1–M6 (Paid to Scale)
Contract: Full Time | Long-Term
Start Date: September 2026

A vibrant and welcoming junior school in the centre of Amesbury is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

The Role:

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons within the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel supported and challenged
  • Demonstrate effective behaviour management strategies that promote positive learning behaviours
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and the Senior Leadership Team
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and its strong community ethos

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Is enthusiastic, motivated and passionate about teaching and learning
  • Champions diversity and inclusion within the classroom
  • Has a strong understanding of behaviour management and positive classroom culture
  • Is reflective and committed to continuous professional development

Both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers (M1–M6) are encouraged to apply.

Safeguarding & Vetting:

This role is advertised through Teaching Personnel. All applicants will undergo appropriate safeguarding and vetting checks.

A trusted Teaching Personnel consultant will guide candidates through the recruitment process, including:

  • Discussing previous classroom experience
  • Reviewing behaviour management approaches
  • Working through safeguarding scenarios to ensure best practice in safeguarding children

An enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references will be required prior to appointment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
