KS1 Teaching Assistant with Teacher Training Opportunities

An Ofsted graded ‘Good’ primary school in Chorley are looking for a graduate TA with an interest in Key Stage 1 to join their team of support staff.

This thriving primary school have an ethos in which highlights the importance of fostering inquisitiveness, whilst encouraging and motivating children to learn at the highest standard.

This is a full-time role teaching assistant role starting in September 2021 and working within the Year 1 and 2 classes.

Rates of pay are GBP61.20 - GBP72 per day and working hours are 09:00 – 15:30.

This is an ongoing contract with the opportunity for the right candidate to embark on Teacher Training from Sept 2022.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of productively supporting children within a KS1 environment, excellent references and availability to start work at the beginning of the new academic year.

Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree - ESSENTIAL
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C)
  • Recent experience working with Primary-aged children (6 months minimum)
  • Proven track record of improving pupils’ performance
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police check

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
