Are you a warm, reliable, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who loves supporting children to succeed?
Looking for a full‑time role where you can build meaningful relationships and feel part of a supportive school team?
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming primary school on the outskirts of Truro (St Austell Direction) who are seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join them full-time after the Easter holidays. This is a fantastic long‑term opportunity for someone who thrives in a classroom environment and enjoys being a consistent, trusted presence for pupils.
Why This Role Stands Out
This is not a short‑term stopgap. The school is looking for someone who wants to:
- Be part of the school community and a very close knit, friendly team
- Support pupils both academically and emotionally
- Build strong, positive relationships
- Play a key role in the classroom team
You’ll be working mainly within a KS2 class, offering general classroom support alongside some 1:1 support, as is typical within primary school settings.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Support the class teacher with day‑to‑day classroom learning
- Deliver 1:1 and small‑group support where needed
- Help pupils stay engaged, confident, and focused
- Support behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence
- Promote a calm, positive and inclusive learning environment
- Adapt support to meet individual learning needs
Every day will be varied, but your contribution will be essential.
Who We’re Looking For
This role would suit someone who is:
- Experienced working in primary schools (KS2 preferred)
- Caring, patient, and confident supporting children
- Comfortable providing 1:1 support when required
- Proactive, reliable, and a strong team player
- Passionate about helping children reach their potential
A Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification is desirable, but relevant school‑based experience is equally valued.
Why Work With Teaching Personnel?
- Weekly pay with transparent rates
- A dedicated local consultant (me!) who listens to you
- Consistent work opportunities in local schools
- Access to free CPD training (safeguarding, behaviour, SEN + more)
- Simple admin through the myTP app
- Opportunities to move into long‑term roles if you want
We care about placing you somewhere you’ll enjoy — not just filling gaps.
