Job description

Key Stage 2 Class Teacher

Location: Reading, Berkshire
Start Date: February 2026 or April 2026
Contract: Full-time (permanent or fixed-term considered)
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our friendly and supportive school community in Reading. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning and inspiring pupils to achieve their full potential.

The position is available to start in February or April 2026, offering flexibility for the right candidate.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher (QTS) with experience or interest in Key Stage 2

  • Has high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour

  • Plans and delivers engaging, inclusive lessons aligned with the National Curriculum

  • Uses assessment effectively to support progress and attainment

  • Works well as part of a collaborative team

  • Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Is reflective, motivated, and eager to continue professional development

ECTs and experienced teachers are both welcome to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
