Start Date: After Easter
Contract: Full-Time

Are you an enthusiastic and committed Key Stage 2 teacher ready to guide pupils through their final year of primary school? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to work in a welcoming and supportive primary school in Reading starting after the Easter break.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact during a crucial stage of pupils’ education, preparing them for SATs and a smooth transition to secondary school.


The Role

  • Full-time Year 6 class teacher

  • Start date: After Easter (Summer Term)

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum

  • Prepare pupils for end-of-year assessments (SATs)

  • Marking, assessment, planning and preparation are essential requirements

  • Work collaboratively with the KS2 team and senior leadership

  • Foster a positive, inclusive and motivating classroom environment


The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 6 experience desirable)

  • Strong understanding of SATs preparation and assessment frameworks

  • Confident in full planning and preparation responsibilities

  • Excellent classroom management skills

  • Passionate about raising attainment and supporting pupil progress

  • Able to commit for the full Summer Term
