Job description

Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant
Location: Addlestone
Hours: Full Time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm

We are a welcoming and dedicated SEN school in Addlestone seeking experienced SEN Learning Support Assistants to join our supportive team.

This is a rewarding full-time role supporting children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities

  • Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development

  • Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists and parents

We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working within an SEN setting (essential)

  • A patient, nurturing and proactive approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Confidence supporting pupils with additional behavioural or communication needs

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent) desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
