Job description

SEN Primary Teacher – Virginia Water | Full Time | ASAP Start

We are working with a welcoming SEN primary school in Virginia Water to recruit a dedicated and experienced teacher to join their team as soon as possible.

The school supports around 60 pupils across 6 classes, all of whom have EHCPs and needs relating to autism and communication/interaction. Staff benefit from strong in-class support and a collaborative working environment.

The Role:

  • Teaching a class of pupils in Years 3–6
  • Supporting children with ASD and complex communication and interaction needs
  • Planning and delivering differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to individual EHCPs
  • Working closely with a Senior Teaching Assistant and up to 3 Teaching Assistants
  • Creating a structured, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

  • QTS preferred
  • Alternatively, if no QTS, strong experience teaching pupils with autism and/or complex social communication needs
  • Ability to plan, prepare, and adapt lessons to meet a wide range of needs
  • A patient, proactive, and consistent approach to behaviour and learning

Details:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • Start date: ASAP

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
