Join Our Team as an Interventions Teaching Assistant – Starting September 2025
Location: Cwmbran, South Wales
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: From £89 per day (£12.90+ per hour)
Start Date: September 2025

We’re working closely with a friendly, welcoming primary school in Cwmbran known for its strong Estyn reports and inclusive ethos. The school is seeking a dedicated Interventions Teaching Assistant to support children both one-on-one and in small group settings—making a real impact academically and emotionally.
Your Role Will Include:

Delivering focused intervention sessions to support pupils with ALN and behavioural needs.

Helping to develop key literacy and numeracy skills in an engaging and supportive manner.

Encouraging a positive, inclusive classroom culture where all children feel valued.

Working alongside class teachers, the SENCO, and fellow support staff to deliver consistent, effective support.

Building trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Adapting flexibly to the needs of the school day while ensuring pupil wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
What We're Looking For:

Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), or willing to register.

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child Workforce)—support available if needed.

Two recent professional references from the last 24 months.

A calm, proactive, and patient approach to supporting children.

Experience supporting children with ALN or in educational settings is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
