We are recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join welcoming secondary schools across Guildford and the surrounding areas from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about bringing History, Geography and Religious Studies to life and helping students develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.

We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

The Role

• Teach Humanities across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach your specialist subject at Key Stage 5 where available.

• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking.

• Assess, monitor and support student progress to help every learner achieve their potential.

• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment.

• Work collaboratively within a supportive Humanities department and contribute to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has a degree in History, Geography, Religious Studies or a related Humanities subject.

• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• Is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
