Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience
Are you a passionate Humanities Teacher looking for a new opportunity from September? Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Gillingham that is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Humanities Teacher to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys inspiring young people and delivering engaging lessons across subjects such as History, Geography, Religious Education or other Humanities disciplines. The successful candidate will join a supportive school environment where high expectations, positive relationships and student achievement are at the heart of the school community.
The Role
As a Humanities Teacher, you will be responsible for:

Planning and delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Supporting students to develop their knowledge, confidence and critical-thinking skills.

Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
-
Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and academic achievement.
-
Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Humanities department.
-
Contributing to the wider life of the school and supporting extracurricular opportunities where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a Humanities Teacher who:

Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Has experience teaching within a secondary school setting.
-
Has strong subject knowledge across one or more Humanities subjects.

Can deliver engaging and well-structured lessons.
-
Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
-
Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to supporting students.
-
Works effectively as part of a wider school team.
-
Has a genuine passion for education and helping young people achieve their potential.
