About the Role
Teaching Personnel are seeking passionate and adaptable Humanities teachers to work across a range of secondary schools in South Manchester. We welcome applications from teachers of Geography, History, RE, or those confident delivering multiple Humanities subjects. These ongoing long-term cover positions offer flexibility, variety, and the opportunity to broaden your experience across different school environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who want to inspire KS3 and KS4 learners, develop their classroom practice, and work with a supportive specialist recruitment team. Start dates are available immediately or from September, depending on your availability.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Teaching & Learning: Deliver engaging, well-planned lessons across KS3–KS4 within your Humanities specialism(s), supporting and challenging learners of all abilities.
• Assessment: Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement effective interventions as needed.
• Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Humanities departments across various schools, adapting to each school’s culture, expectations, and curriculum.
What We’re Looking For
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in Geography, History and/or RE.
• Confidence teaching at KS3 and KS4 in at least one Humanities discipline.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and adaptability—essential when working across multiple school settings.
• A genuine passion for supporting student progress in varied educational environments.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
