Humanities Teacher (History & Religious Studies)

Location: Bournemouth
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-Time

A welcoming and high-achieving mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher, specialising in History and Religious Studies, to join their team from January on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4, inspiring students to develop a strong understanding of both historical concepts and religious perspectives. The school is looking for a teacher with excellent subject knowledge, a passion for humanities education, and the ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching History and RS within a secondary school setting

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and a positive approach to learning

  • Be committed to contributing to the wider school community
