Job description

A mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated and passionate Humanities Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher with a strong background in Religious Studies and History to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching the Humanities. They will be able to create engaging lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the world around us. The ability to teach both Religious Studies and History confidently is essential.

The school is well-regarded for its supportive environment, committed staff, and strong sense of community. It offers a welcoming atmosphere where teachers are encouraged to develop professionally and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Religious Studies and History to KS3 and KS4
  • A passion for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
