Humanities Teacher – Geography/ History 

Location: Bolton
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

A secondary school in Bolton is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Humanities Teacher to join their successful department from September 2026.

Applications are welcomed from teachers specialising in Geography or History who are passionate about delivering engaging lessons and helping students achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Geography or History across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons.
  • Monitor and assess student progress.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour and student achievement.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching Geography or History within a secondary school.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
