Job description

We are currently working with a secondary school in Rochdale who are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. This role would suit an experienced teacher who is looking for a fresh challenge, as well as an ECT looking to gain further experience in a supportive school environment.

You will be teaching Humanities across the secondary age range, helping students develop their knowledge, confidence and understanding of the subject.

The role will involve:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Humanities lessons.
  • Teaching across KS3 and KS4.
  • Supporting students of different abilities and needs.
  • Creating a positive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress.
  • Working closely with other members of the Humanities department.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school where appropriate.

We're Looking For

The school is looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS or an ECT.
  • Confident teaching Humanities at secondary level.
  • Passionate about their subject and able to engage students.
  • A strong classroom practitioner with good behaviour management.
  • Reliable, approachable and committed to supporting students.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a department.
