Humanities Teacher
Job description
We are currently working with a secondary school in Rochdale who are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. This role would suit an experienced teacher who is looking for a fresh challenge, as well as an ECT looking to gain further experience in a supportive school environment.
You will be teaching Humanities across the secondary age range, helping students develop their knowledge, confidence and understanding of the subject.
The role will involve:
- Planning and delivering engaging Humanities lessons.
- Teaching across KS3 and KS4.
- Supporting students of different abilities and needs.
- Creating a positive and engaging classroom environment.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress.
- Working closely with other members of the Humanities department.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school where appropriate.
We're Looking For
The school is looking for someone who is:
- A qualified teacher with QTS or an ECT.
- Confident teaching Humanities at secondary level.
- Passionate about their subject and able to engage students.
- A strong classroom practitioner with good behaviour management.
- Reliable, approachable and committed to supporting students.
- Able to work effectively as part of a department.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
