Humanities Teacher – Full-Time Position in Bolton – Starting October 2024

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Bolton area. This full-time role begins in October 2024 and offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students across a range of humanities subjects.

About the Role: As a Humanities Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Education. You will play a key role in fostering a love for these subjects, helping students to develop their critical thinking skills and understand the world around them. Your commitment to high educational standards and your ability to create an inclusive learning environment will ensure students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Humanities subjects to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support their development.
  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans that inspire and challenge students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Humanities curriculum.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, and/or Religious Education.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students.
  • A passion for Humanities and a commitment to helping students achieve academic success.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
