Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary School
Location: Prescot (L34)
Start Date: October 2025
Schedule: Full Time (Early finish on Fridays)
Contract: Temporary with potential to become permanent
Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Role Overview
We are seeking a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the team from October. This full-time role is perfect for someone confident in leading lessons and supporting pupils across a range of year groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
- Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups.
- Assist with planning, preparation, and classroom organisation.
- Support the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Contribute to assessment and reporting.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
- Holds an HLTA qualification or has equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in a primary school setting.
- Confident in leading whole-class teaching when required.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Flexible, proactive, and committed to supporting pupils and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
