Are you an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? One of our partner primary schools in Rhondda Cynon Taf is seeking a full-time Level 4 HLTA Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide high-quality support across the school.

About the Role:

As a Level 4 HLTA Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, you will:

• Support teaching and learning across the primary age range, working closely with class teachers to deliver engaging lessons
• Lead whole-class learning activities in the absence of the teacher where required
• Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to pupils, including those with additional learning needs (ALN)
• Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities to support pupil progress
• Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development within a nurturing classroom environment
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to pupil support plans
• Help promote a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all learners

Who We’re Looking For:

Ideal candidates will:

• Hold a Level 4 HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant teaching assistant qualification
• Have experience working within a primary school setting
• Be confident supporting learning across different year groups and abilities
• Have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Be proactive, flexible, and passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
• Have experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs (desirable but not essential)

Requirements:

We can support you in obtaining the following if needed:

• Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
• Enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the Update Service)
• Two recent, relevant references (covering the past two years)
