HLTA / Learning Mentor – Full Time, Long Term (B8 Area)

Start Date: After Easter break (13th April)

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) / Learning Mentor to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the B8 area. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting after the Easter break.
The successful candidate will be working on a 1:1 basis with a range of pupils from Reception through to Year 6, providing both academic and pastoral support. Due to the varied age range, strong experience across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted 1:1 support to pupils with varying learning needs
- Support pupils’ academic progress as well as social and emotional development
- Adapt learning strategies to suit individual needs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff
- Monitor and report on pupil progress
Requirements:
- Proven experience supporting children across KS1 and KS2
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Essential Qualifications (one of the following):
- HLTA status
- Level 6 qualification in Education Studies (including placement experience)
- PGCE (with or without QTS)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
