Contract: Full-Time
Salary: £130–£251 per day (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Humanities Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Newcastle from September 2026. The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Humanities subjects
  • Teach students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive
  • Monitor, assess, and support student progress and achievement
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has previous experience teaching Humanities subjects within a secondary school setting
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Humanities education
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Is adaptable, proactive, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
