History Teacher – Newcastle
Start Date: June 2026
Pay: £130–£251 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Flexible (Temp to Perm)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed and adaptable History Teacher to work across supportive secondary schools in Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator looking for flexible work with the potential to become permanent.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Inspire students to explore historical events, themes, and interpretations
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Differentiate teaching to support learners of all abilities
  • Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to drive achievement

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge in History
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience teaching secondary students (GCSE experience desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
