Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a School in the Colchester area. The school are seeking to appoint a highly organised and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team and work across school to support with interventions and whole class cover as required.
You will be working under the general direction of the class teachers and Head teacher to engage in a prescribed range of activities to support the educational and developmental needs of pupils. You will be required to engage in learning activities with individual pupils, groups of pupils or the whole class, from time to time, to reinforce and extend appropriate aspects of teacher input. You will also need to assist the class teacher with the implementation of the curriculum, including contributing to the planning and evaluation of teaching activities and the monitoring of pupils including reviewing and reporting on the pupils progress.
Working across the school where needed you will need to be adaptable and able to work independently.
The school are looking for a person who:
• has proven experience of working as a HLTA
• has a Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification
• has high expectations of themselves and the children they work with
• has a calm, positive and pro-active approach to supporting children within the classroom
• can work effectively with a range of colleagues and other professionals to best meet the needs of the child
• is self-improving and willing to extend their skills and experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
