Salary: £33,000 - £51,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
History Teacher – Secondary School | Weymouth
Teaching Personnel is recruiting an enthusiastic History Teacher to join a progressive and well-respected secondary school in Weymouth. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a welcoming Humanities department dedicated to delivering engaging lessons and supporting students to achieve their full potential.
The school is seeking a motivated teacher who can bring History to life through creative teaching and inspire students to develop a lifelong interest in the subject.
The Role
You will:

Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential KS5 opportunities depending on experience.

Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote curiosity and independent thinking.

Plan lessons in line with curriculum requirements and GCSE specifications.

Monitor progress through effective assessment and targeted intervention.

Contribute to curriculum development and wider departmental initiatives.

Support extracurricular activities, educational visits and enrichment programmes.
We Are Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, QTLS or equivalent).

Strong subject knowledge and previous secondary History teaching experience.

Excellent classroom management skills.

A positive, adaptable and proactive approach to teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
